13 September 2021: Registration to the University diploma in European Union Trade Mark and Community Design Law (hybrid learning)
CEIPI is pleased to announce that the second edition of the University Diploma in "European Union Trade Mark and Community Design Law" will be held in a hybrid format: on-site (in Strasbourg) and online learning.
The training programme has been specially designed for practitioners and future practitioners in this field. By means of lectures, seminars and workshops involving case-studies, participants will acquire up-to-date and in-depth knowledge on key issues arising in the European Union legal framework of trade marks and designs. Furthermore, the curriculum will enable interested candidates to prepare for the French Qualifying Exams in trade marks and designs and for professional examinations leading to a career as a judge or an attorney. The program is entirely conducted in English.
Courses will be held over a 4-week period scheduled between November 2021 and May 2022, which corresponds to the four modules that make up the program, namely: 1) Introduction to the EUTM system and absolute grounds of refusal; 2) Relative ground: introduction to opposition proceedings; 3) EU trade mark litigation and 4) Infringement of EU trade marks and EU design law. Furthermore, the program also includes courses on American and Japanese law.
Beyond the relevant content of the courses, the diploma offers networking opportunities between peers and with leading representatives from various fields of the IP profession: renowned professors, experienced attorneys and Members of the Board of appeal of the European Office Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), among others.
