La vaccination a deux effets désirables :
Réduire la circulation virale qui est importante chez les jeunes avec une vie sociale très active. Si une personne vaccinée attrape la Covid, elle se défend rapidement et ne contamine qu’une personne en moyenne, alors qu’une personne non vaccinée en contamine en moyenne 6 autres. Le variant delta, très contagieux, est majoritaire dans le Bas-Rhin.
Éviter les formes graves (rares mais existant chez les moins de 30 ans) mais surtout éviter les syndromes Covid prolongés au-delà de 3 mois. Les formes longues de l'infection à la Covid peuvent durer jusqu'à un an, avec la persistance de symptômes tels que fatigue, essoufflement à l’effort, troubles cognitifs, etc. gênant la vie de tous les jours. Ces formes longues peuvent survenir dans un cas sur 10, même après une forme mineure de la maladie, chez des patients de tout âge, y compris chez les adolescents.

16 March 2020: Announcement from CEIPI concerning COVID-19
Due to the public health situation in France and following the instructions given by the University of Strasbourg, the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies is closed to the public, as from Monday March 16, until further notice.
In order to ensure the pedagogical continuity for all our programmes, the CEIPI team is setting up a distance learning scheme and staff will be teleworking as of Tuesday, March 17.
