The CEIPI at the 8th WIPO Advanced Research Forum on Intellectual Property Rights: “Intellectual property Law and Institutions - New Perspectives and Dimensions” in Geneva
From May , 26 to 28, 2014, Agnieszka Kupzok, Postdoctoral researcher and CEIPI-BETA Project leader in L&E of IP and Elena Izyumenko, Doctoral Student and Research Assistant at the CEIPI, will participate int the 8th Advanced Research Forum on Intellectual Property Rights organized by the WIPO in Geneva on the topic: “Intellectual property Law and Institutions - New Perspectives and Dimensions”.
Agnieszka Kupzok will be delivering a presentation entitled “The Role of Institutions in Improving Patent Valuation” which is based on on-going research work, which focuses on applying a law & economics approach to the study of intellectual property rights.
Elena Izyumenko will be delivering a presentation on the topic: “The influence of the Human Rights Courts on the shape and interpretation of IP law”.
The presentation would be partly based on the following recently published by Cristophe Geiger, Director General of the CEIPI and Elena Izyumenko, “Copyright on the Human Rights’ Trial: Redefining the Boundaries of Exclusivity through Freedom of Expression”, International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law 45(3) IIC 316 (2014).
